Joyce's... you need a second mortgage to drive in their yard.. cheaper to go to landrover..

are you sure it's gearbox not the engine knocking under load? not that I know anything but the fact that it stops on the overrun could point that way perhaps?

lol aint that the truth, good chaps and know their stuff but yup they're expensive!!
I'm assuming gearbox as it gets louder as you chnge up through the gears:confused: i know nothing too lol;)
 
jusat looked at my keyring.. j&g auto repairs 01985216990

best value for stuff I've had done cos their labor charges are reasonable.. and they let you source your own parts no problem.. wasn't sure how fair my mot was last year (failed on scored discs which looked scored but didn't feel ir) but otherwise been really happy with them

or pop over monday when MHM is here and get a second opinion.. i'll even make you a cuppa... what time you coming MHM I'll get a q lined up in the yard lol...

lol poor MHM:D he's in luck tho cos i honestly don't think i'd dare drive the ol' girl even to Trow at the moment, i had a sweat on taking her the 2 miles from farm to home:eek:
 
nah i'm in staverton.. you'll be alright.. I get my gas from countrywide in melksham it aint far..and J&G are warminster... i think.. so a bit further but easy saving and if you're worried about making it there are loads of us nearby who would be willing to shadow you over there and give you a tow if you needed it..

They do know their stuff. Their vehical sales seem very expensive but I've found them quiet reasonable when I've got them to do anything to Hippo.:rolleyes:

Better than Wilts Landrovers. When it came to engine diagnostics, he didn't have a clue. :(

lol all that would be a bit too modern for them, he's right into his old landies, so he'll be ok with mine.
i'm hoping that he'll be able to tell me whats wrong with mine and if it needs new gearbox i'll get one but get someone i know to fit it ( cue lots of eyelash fluttering and sticking me chest out;) ) but if it needs a part fitting to old gearbox i'm probably better off letting him do it as he can probs do it in his sleep!!
