Your obvuiously a bit worried, and if your cought, your vehicle is impounded no excuses at around £120 per day.
What I'd be inclined to do if a little panicky, is call the inland revenue or customs whichever controls the use of derv, and explain your situation, if your caught with traces of it in the tank after you have spoken to them about the situation, your not gonna get screwed.
Lots of people must be in the same situation, the revenue service will have an allowance for such occaisions.
Tell em you got it to yours on a trailer.

not seen tanks dipped in years but loads of census points around lately, drive past 2 last night in less than i mile.Whats that all about?

Seen them dipping in marina's a few times, right where you can buy red.
I think they have tip off's, ie someone dodgy buys a whole load of red and is likely to flog it for road use, so they spot check.
