Rather ****ed off today as i spent an hour in the rain on my back changing the slave cylinder on the clutch, all went well (with the exception of the awkward top bolt) until I got inside and pressed the clutch pedal and got nowt  I had in the bled the slave cylinder through before i fitted it as the landy is pointing downhill.
Now when i repeatedly press the clutch pedal the fluid just bubbles and foams in the mastercylinder :mad: There are no leaks or perished hoses

The master cylinder was replaced about four months ago but the landy has not been driven it has just been sittin doin nowt.

The clutch fork rod was still in place when i put the slave back in and it was pushing against the fork so i dont think there are any problems with that :).

Could it be the master cylinder again????

just sounds like a cronic air lock as your getting bubbles , just keep pressing it till it stops bubbling ( your fluid level should drop as the airs coming out ) .

or the master cylinder stuck-release pedal tap end of master cylinder, press pedal, release pedal, tap each release

similar thing happend to me the other day. turned out the master had gone as well. both cylinders were new at christmas!!!!!

I had replaced the flexy hose on mine while ago, it was an absolute bas###d to bleed up, took me ages to get a pedal again. Keep going with it, you should eventually get a pedal back.

I remember somone told me the same thing and the fitted the slave cylinder upsidedown and couldnt bleed it as the bleed screw was not the lowest point

The slave cylinder fits with the bleed screw at the TOP as air rises through the fluid. If you pit it at the bottom you will end up with half of the cylinder full of air!

sorry my bad it was early this am i meant top lol i have a series gearbox with it the the bottom and the guy sold me the gearbox because he could not get the clutch to bleed think it was a fiver he changed the whole box and it worked. just because he fitted the slave cylinder upside down on his old box
