Off Roading in the South West?

Hello, Had a browse over the site and its very interesting. This is my first Land Rover but have owned a few smaller 4x4s. I was wandering if there were any CLUBS or OFFROADING days in the South West as i have never done this before and quite fancy a go. Hopefully i wont have to post too many problems on here (touch wood).

How far are you prepared to travel? There is the North Somerset Landrover Club at Chewtom Mendip near Bristol. I don't know what clubs are closer to you.

There are several groups of guys from on here that go offroading or to pay and play sites.

In Cornwall there are the S*L*A*P*P*E*R*S and in Dorset/Somerset/Wiltshire you have the S*L*U*T*S.

Click on the community tab near the top of the screen and then view the social groups.

Cheers thankyou, will look into those. Not sure if i would be a S.L.A.P.P.E.R. or a S.L.U.T...........Preparedto travel a little. Bristol is not to bad because i commute from Plymouth to Cardiff on a weekly basis. Thanks again

I'm Liskeard way, Oddie is in Lostwithiel and Stumpy is in St Germans.
There's a pay and play site at Bush Farm near Saltash and another one at Baldhu (Truro / Redroof way).

We're going to check out a few green lanes around Dobwalls / Pelynt way on 22nd March - if you want to tag along, let me know. Most of the lanes are a bit scratchy though!

Cool.......what sort of price are the pay and play days. I live in Plymouth now, previously in St. John just outside Torpoint.

Thats cheap. Are there any membership fees or anything down that way?

Up here it's £25 a day, £5 a year 'membership' per driver and then £5 per time for additional 'member drivers'.

WOW.......bargain....just had a look at some previous pics of days there......Looks great fun. Defo fancy day there......Have to let me know if there is a day when a group of members go.......
