Off road wheels & tyres

Hi everyone,

I have a Freelander 1 (54 plate), and want to get some wheels and tyres to go off road, I've been told it's best to drop down from the 17 inch wheels I currently have to 15's then get the big tyres.
Can anyone help me on this and let me know what is best to do and get?

I've found the round black ones to be truly outstanding on my weekly trip to the supermarket.

Asking about wheels and tyres is akin to lighting the blue touch paper and not standing back.
Please try a search, wheels and tyres are done to death.

Waste of time getting rubber ones cause they'll melt when you resort to the 'ultimate fix'
