not sure on this????

can someone in the know please help me understand this.......

i'm on the look out for a heater (full assembly) for a LHD series 3, now in my own head its telling me that the heaters are handed LH/RH but the owner of the vehicle has told me via e-mail that it shouldn't matter if its a heater for a right hand drive motor it will still fit in the LHD one he's got?? is there any truth to that or does he just not know what he's on about? also, would i be right in assuming if we try an put a RHD heater in a LHD series all the outlets will be on the wrong side won't they??

I've seen lhd ones for sale so I reckon you're probably right.

yep.....defo handed......matrix housing bolts to bulkhead and footwell so you cant flip it though it might be possible to double the pipes back on themselves.....not ideal though.

Same with the fan.....bolts to footwell and the outlet pipe has to face forwards......no room to run it back towards the bulkhead.
