not starting

2005 freelander td4 .. been driving fine all day. parked it up. then next morning wont start ... turn ignition on engine turns over but wont fire up. had new glow plugs 2 months ago and new battery .engine just keeps turning over

Either sender unit or high pressure pump. More often the sender unit, see if you hear a buzz near driver side rear wheel arch.

Sounds like the pressure regulator O rings are letting fuel past, preventing sufficient injection pressure at cranking speed.

Yes, it's sticking out the end of the HP pump.
