Not Starting

During wet weather, winter and offoading my defender sometimes will not start it turns over but wont fire up, it takes multiple turns and it eventually fires up, just turning the key again and again till she starts...

Strangely its been fine in the summer weather with no large puddles, streams, wet, etc and starts perfect every time, for the last months..

Come winter I seem to have problems, any suggestions, has anone had similar, is the water getting in some where causing this??

Any advice is appreciated...

Once you've eliminated Tim's suggestion, check:

Engine/Chassis/Battery earth straps

Battery terminals

Battery condition

have you tried ANYTHING suggested in your other TWO threads on the same subject?

Tried a few the problem is it only happens when wet, i.e driven through puddles, etc/

Where abouts are all the earth straps located?

Follow the big black lead from you're battery - usually goes to transfer box

Should also be a strap on left side of engine to chassis
