We know the lanes in the Peaks, but when we drive them we mostly don't care if they're scratchy or not, for instance, and don't really notice .. hence a load of extra recces to try and suit different vehicles and different skill levels.
Some of the lanes I went up yesterday could be easily driven down, but took some driving to get up .. similarly with the ice on the ground, one we went down was an absolute bitch which probably couldn't have been driven up!
But yeah, I'd be up for a good Lakes run ..
lovely views in summer although I do prefer winter as the snow covered hills look a lot nicer
