Because if peeps are coming a long way, they wont want to break their motors............. and one of the beauties of doing a large run like this is to encourage noobies to try something out with the knowledge that there are lots of peeps to help and give advice?

Where ever we do go for , the next meet, the after party is as important as the laning in some ways.

The difficulty with the laning is that you get to meet the bods in your group but generally very little opportunity for anything other than a quick hello and goodby at the begining and the end and a shed load of bods you just don't get around to say hi to .

The big success of the Bristol Show was the sheer amount of people who got to know each other through the weekend.

Again , although numbers were low ( real shame that ) for the after party for the chippie run these were people you got to meet and know and have a laugh with .

So... for my two penneth- whereever we go , you almost need two team- one to sort out the laning and one to organise the meet

And have a grand tour of a different area, no disrespect but not much skill, imagination, effort or creativity required for organising p+p days

yes accomodation- but maybe somewhere with both camping and somewhere for the softies to stay- to keep everyone together - those that were unable to stay , really missed out on a really cracking time ( despite the mud ) and everyone should be given the chance to join in that for the future :)
as a noob to laning p&p don't really interest me, it was seeing all the hard to get to places that interests me and the party afterwards was at least 50% of that.

a grand tour is definately part of it ,i enjoyed seeing parts of the country youd normally not see between the lanes as well as on them
