Hi hd3. Took your advice a bought a MEYLE part from AF but could you answer a question. The new part 8510297ES has a GREY PLASTIC cover on the bottom part, Do I have to remove that plastic bit or leave it on? Cheers mate, Dave

Maybe a protector, check the diameter and see if it is same as old one with or without it !

Some do have a grey sense case.
If it fits in the hole, then use it as supplied.

Thanks Andy and Nodge68, I have now fitted it and will be going for a run to check it out. Will let you know "IF" I get back.
Well I have been for a thirty to forty minute drive, came back, went indoors for fifteen minutes or so then came back out and she started first time so I do hope I"m not jumping the gun but to all you fantastic members who have given me your expert advice and help thank you and what you told me seems to have done the job. What a brilliant "Club" this is with such knowledgable people, long may it survive.
Now what"s NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
