Hey all,

I have a 2002 Freelander Gs 1.8 that won't start. Basically, we had been leaking coolant for a few weeks prior and topped it up one morning because it was really low, we drove a few miles that morning and noticed the drivers and rear passenger footwells were wet. I assume it was from the rain because our sunroof is seized and blocked. On the way home we put some petrol in, parked up at home, went to start it after standing for 10 mins...it cranked but would not start, managed to get it going but kept spluttering and now won't start at all.Rang a mechanic to fix the leak and see why it won't start, he replaced the water pump and cam belt for the leak and said there was no fuel coming through the fuel line, so suggested I had it tested by an auto electrician. I've had two auto electricians out who said, battery is too low to diagnose, replaced it, then ht leads and spark plugs were no good, replaced them too, I replaced the fuel pump relay and have been told by the electrician that nothing wrong on his equipment. Do I go ahead and with a fuel pump replacement or could there be something we are all overlooking?

If you are leaking coolant then you have the potential for serious problems, if you don't already have them. Where are you mate? Might be someone nearby who could help you with it.

This may be a long and expensive process, maybe not. I will send you a PM with some info.

Will.
