Hi all
I'm just going round my new '94 300tdi disco auto bit by bit before 3500ish mile trip coming soon (portugal and back) and i got the transmission or transfer box whine thingy and I wondered how many years/miles these things take to deteriorate to a failure? I never had an auto before and it doesn't sound that bad to me but I 'm sure it didn't leave the factory sounding like that.
By the way its done 163K miles.
