Hello all, need help please.
Have Disco 300Tdi 1996 with Pirelli Scorpio on front and Good Year Wrangler on back. Have done about 40,000 on both axles/tyres. I'm getting noise which sounds low pitched hollow/metallic woom-woom at about 30-40mph predominantly from O/S when turning to left. Seems to come from rear O/S.
Have changed rear wheel bearing drained Diff and no swarf in oil. Fitted new Discs & Calipers.
Am now at wits end, final comment was from a mechanic who suggested it was the block tread on the tyres at rear which might have moved ??
Does anybody out there have any thoughts.
There is still about 8mm of tread left on Front & Back sets
