The coil packs each have two wires connecting to the main plug am i right in thinking these two wires provide a 12v supply when the ignition is on? Does the ecu controll the power to the coil packs? if so would all coil packs be controlled by the same thing or would it be 1 for each coil pack?.. hope that makes sense cos i dont know what im on about :)

Posted this in the 'its a v8 mate' aswell, listerdiesel told me its when the iginition is turn on... gorra check all conections then the 12v supply to coil, be handy to know how the ecu does the sending whether its separately to the 4 packs or to all ov em

you would think all at once, but it is a rangey. if you dont get anything with it just on try it when some body is turning it over

Will do, Obviously im hoping for a loose/bad connection failing that its looking into an ecu :(, bloke i bort it off sed the becm had been unlocked.... wonder if that was done cos of the coil problem? or whether the problem is because of it?

the ecu can't send power to all the coils at the same time as this would cause diring at the wrong time!!

you havent used the same leads as before have you?
