No power to rear upper tailgate switch discovery 4

Hi guys new to this forum I have a Land Rover discovery 4 on a 2010 plate. I have seen many posts on forums regarding tailgate not opening I have now got the tailgate opened and the rear lower tailgate opens fine. I have replaced the upper tailgate activator and it is still not opening. I have now replaced the upper handle switch and placed a volt meter on it and there is no power getting to it. I have checked all the fuses and all fuses are fine. My brain is burnt out trying to find the fault. I also don’t fancy taking the whole loom out for the rear tailgate but if I have to I will have to‍ Any help regarding trying to find this problem would be much appreciated if anybody else has had the same experience

Start with the wiring in the flex grommet between door top and body shell.
