no orange glow plug heater light on dash?

200 tdi 90

A usual morning, got into the defender and when i turned the ignition on there was no orange light on the dash for the glow plugs. i tried turning it off and on again, still nothing. the engine started and ran fine. Am i being stupid and is it a fuse or a bulb or could it be a much bigger problem? thanks alot hope someone can help !!!

If its starting fine then it may well just be the bulb in the dash...i have the opposite problem, my orange light never goes out, i could pre-warm for hours if i waited for it to go off....I'd just swap the bulb. have you had the dash off recently? may have dislodged the connection...

Well if u cared it would be better. But u don't care n nor do I care if u care, n u probably dont care if I care if u care - how long u got?...........Cant even remeber wot we wos talking bout.

okay yeah i have had the dash off a few days ago but was working when i put it back together maybe it came loose. i will swap the bulbs and let you no what happens. thankss

I did the same, took the dash off to replace the speedo cable and then my water temp guage didnt work, found out i'd pulled the dash too far forward and one of the connections to the temp clock had come off...

no orange glow plug heater light on dash?
