Hi All,

Doing some repairs to the wiring on my SWB Landy and have a head scatcher.....

I have side lights, head lights and main beam but no beam flash or indicators.

Could it be the switch or the relay...?
Anybody had the same issue to confirm before i start replacing parts until its fixed.

Also anybody know what the part is for the relay..?

You help would be much appreciated.

Flash and indicators would seem to indicate switch. But before replacing anything, check that there is a live feed to the switch.

For the headlight flash check fuse no.1 - it's the only thing fed from it.
If the wipers work then fuse 3 will be ok - it also feeds the flashers. The flasher relay is behind the clocks (don't confuse it with the voltage stabiliser) The relay has a brown tracer on one of the wires. It could be the relay or switch, the switch contacts are readily accessible once the shroud is off so you can get a meter in there fairly easily.

Hi, I would check the double connector block behind grill under the slam panel.
It could be a case of corrosion and just need cleaning up.

That was stopping my hi beam.

Flasher, you could bypass into the hazard lights if its it relay.

Right Fellas,

I have cleaned up the bad wires and now have the side lights, headlights, main beam and beam flasher.

Still cant get the indicators to work though....:(

Tested the switch and flasher relay and they work fine.
Got positive and negative to both O/S and N/S indicators from the loom. Lamps and bulbs are fine.

The rear loom goes down to the chassis but doenst appear to the rear and cables at the rear are all a mess.

One suggestion is that the battery may not have had enough power beacuse when i started the panel bulbs came on but come the finish there was nothing.

The rear indicators are not connected may not complete the circuit or i have a short somewhere.

Will have anotehr go next week and temporarily ock up the rears to test.
