If the indicators worked OK before you tried the Hazard lights, then probably the hazard light switch is at fault.

What year and model is your Disco?

The Disco 2 uses the BCU for the flashers and the Hazard warning lights. Both those switches just ground two connections (L & R indicator) or one connection (Hazards) to make it work. The Disco 1 is a right can of worms! but we have the schematics on RAVE.

Have you looked at the fuses UNDER THE BONNET? I had mine go pop whilst fiddling with my indicators once, i changed the fuse under the steering wheel and everything was great, it popped again shortly afterwards and i confidently went to change it only to find it hadnt gone this time - and not only the indicator had stopped working the whole bank of lights on that side had stopped! After a few minutes of worry i remembered the underbonnet fusebox and found the offending dead fuse and replaced. No probs since.
