Nice Landy that I've aquired

And shes a corker !! Needs work which i'll attend to in time. Anyone local to me who posts here would be handy. I dont know what else to say cept I think this forum will as good as the newsgroups.

Can I post pics? I got one as my Avatar. Shes a 110 county 12 seater with a 3.9efi V8 lump. Shes raised slightly And is in good order. All the gubbings work perfectly. no rust except 2 of the doors.

Restoration so far :

Replaced Gearbox with heavy duty "Santana" 5 speed manual.
Replaced radiator/Fan.
New Alternator/belts.
New Ht leads and refurbed Dizzy. (not done the leads yet)
Full service : Plugs oils Filters etc.. Greasegun hehe.
New fuel tank. (Genuine part) picked up cheap from JSF
New heater box and matrix (genuine parts)
New Breather & injectors serviced.
Wheels (Hankooks) balanced and aligned. (TBA)
Power steering fixed.
Clutch Master cylinder replaced.
Brake servo replaced.
Partial repairs on Electrical Loom.
New brakes all round. Pads n Shoes.
New shocks all round (Gas ones)
New Wipers.
Custom grill Headlight surrounds fitted.
Passenger Crossmember about to be fitted.
2 front doors repaired - (TBA)

Dont ask how much its all cost..But alot of the work I done myself, not bad for an old recce mech.

Sounds good, but whys a santanna gearbox anymore heavy duty than a landy one.
Hope its off to get dirty soon.

I dont know the answer to that. only that the guy who sold her to me said it was free and NEW. Hehe so it seemed the right thing to do.
She wont be working this year...I still plan the priming and couple of top coats before winter sets in.

dont need paint if its covered in mud!

Shes prepping for a big trip to devon (im in norfolk) with 10 passengers hehe..and roof rack hopefully with my trailor.

Its taken ya 20 months to tell us

To be honest she just stood outside the house "awaiting" work on her. i drove about locally but nothing strenuous. The problem was money..or the lack of it hehe.
