Disco 2 Next dumb question... do you really have to remove the spare wheel to change rear wiper?

The first thing to say is that I haven't got the replacement yet so not had a proper go but...
If I don't remove the spare, can I get the wiper arm far enough from the window to replace the blade?
Numpty-proof instructions appreciated.

If you're just replacing the wiper blade, no it's not necessary but you might have to stop the wiper at a point which allows the best access.
If you're replacing the complete wiper arm and blade, yes you will have to.

As said stop the blade as near to vertical as you can. This will give enough movement to change blade
