Hello to everyone. New to Land Rover and just bought a 1996 Range Rover dse 2.5, and it looks as though I have had my arse smacked:mad:. First where do I get the rave download from, various links I have seen don't work:(. Also have a leak on the injector pump by the little black box or just above this:eek:. Is this hard to do:confused:. Also a oil leak on the rad at the bottom, not the rad behind the wouldbe fog light area. Also have the srs and airbag light on the dash. Any ideas would be much appreciated as I am loseing the will to live:violin:. Thanks Jeff

:welcome2: Jeff,

Look in the How To section for a PDF copy of the RAVE manuals it is in Wammers compressor Check How To.

Behind the fog lamp is the Gearbox Oil Cooler, sort this before it ruins your box through low fluid.

The top of the injector pump is fiddle and may need a DTI to refit it properly timed...Wammers or Datatek are the diesel gurus and can advise better...

SRS light could be a system fault or a blown bulb...the SRS has two lamps, if one fails the other lights to indicate this... Diagnostics are a good way forward.

Owner a Range Rover is a hobby or lifestyle choice not a daily driver .... They will test your patience and your wallet, but are worth it...

Hello Saint, thanks for that. The vehicle is in good condition bodywork wise, so will have a go to sort the other bits out.

If you are stuck, I can supply RAVE on CD along with the EAS diagnostics and airbag replacement guide.
Top of the injector pump, if it's just the very top, is a simple matter of changing a gasket, next level down is a bit more difficult.
Oil leaks from the engine oil cooler pipes are common, you will almost certainly have to replace the cooler as well as the pipes as they will not come off.
SRS could, as Saint said just be a bulb, but low battery volts will also trigger a fault. Really needs diagnostics as it could be a number of things.
I've had my P38 for nearly 5 years, lots of niggly problems but it's never let me down and it's our main car.:D

Hello Datatek, thanks for reply. I have just looked again for rave but links don't work, seem to be old links, would appreciate a copy in you can. The leak on the pump looks as though it is coming from the top as it is dripping from the little black box area.
