Hi
Thought I'd join as I'm going to need a little help with a Series 3 rebuild. Ive taken over an abandoned project which has stood for 3 years. The diesel engine had been removed by the previous owner to undertaken a petrol conversion, which was never done. The chassis is galvanised. Ive repaired the bulkhead and put the diesel back in. I'm now in the process of sorting out brakes, electrics, throttle controls etc etc.
In the past I've done a V8 conversion on my TD Defender 90 truck cab and then stupidly sold it.

Here you are - just a few for starters. This is how she arrived - engine at the rear and several boxes of bits inside the cab

Bulkhead repairs - both footwells had rusted through in places

Engine now in - just trying to work out what wires and controls goes where

A hah! A series joiner, increasingly rare these days. Firstly welcome and walk tall cos any Series vehicle is the original landy. It only has one name and sub class of series; you’ve got an iconic vehicle.
In saying that the 2.25 standard diesel is a dog of an engine. It’s challenging to get through emissions tests. Try to get hold a petrol 2.25 ideally with a Weber carburettor.?
