I think that the facelift Mk1 Freelander was a nice looking vehicle as the earlier mobel (that I had) had far too much grey plastic but the Freelander 2 looks too much like a Ford estate car to me which is why if I do buy one then I need to spec it right up to look the part.
I would love a Range Rover Sport but can't afford one - don't want silver,black or grey as they are like the BMW & Mercedes crew all in the same colour. I want burgundy (Rimini Red) to go with my corporate colours.Also don't want used models as I don't know how they have been driven/looked after etc........

some interesting points there but, ford estate car looking like fl2? spec it up so it dont look like a ford estate?
range rover sport? look like a bmw/merc cos of the colour? i thort i was the one whos gotta lay off the vodka

ffs range rover sport freebie 2 and 3.. you'll all be talking about bleeding porches next.. them's all girls cars and we is all men.. especially the women.. (and for some I think that's biologically correct not just in the mind) anyways.. the discovery 2 is the best looking car landrover ever built.. the new stuff all looks like it was built to pose in not to do a job of work and at the end of the day a landrover should be a workhorse.. after all that's what it was intended to be .. replacement for the hoss..
mind you I think hoss's use less fuel and breeak down less often but hey ho them's the breaks..

Theres no such thing as a freebie 3 yet.
The best looking car that landrover ever built is actually the series 2.
My freelander commercial is a workhorse and not a play toy like most of the tractors on this forum.

What I meant was :-
As Ford owned Landrover when the Freelander 2 was born some of their styling seems to have carried over onto the looks of the Freelander (not the front) but particually if you look at it from the back is does have the appearance of a Ford = boring hense why it needs some accessories to liven it up.
Regarding the RR-Sport with the colours what I meant there was if you look at many Mercs, BMW's Range Rover's etc etc most are either black or silver & I don't want to be run of the mill like that! I didn't mean the looked like one!
