No worries mate .. that's why I put the 'boring' sentence in ..

I'll let you know for future .. :)

If you have a decent towbar fitted that might be OK for the rear. Similarly, if you have a steering guard it might already have recovery points.

So no stopover/B&B - just a day out around Leeds? Reason I ask is my inlaws live in Leeds and we're used to a day trip as we live about 2 hours max drive away ;) So I/we could say hello to them after laning (parking a clarted-up Disco 2 outside their house would be amusing!). So... costs would be fuel and lunch/brews etc. ?

My missus tends to think of vehicles as transport, not toys  despite us marshalling at a few RAC rallies back in the day! How I enjoyed my Capris and Trans Am I'll never know. I can understand her point a little about not having a big budget to go out and try to break the Landy, but they are built to take stuff better than a normal road car :p This might be the excuse to drag her along (figuratively and not on a tow rope!). I'll find out and then confirm or not.

Thanks.

Diff.

Heheheh, I do tend to forget. I shouldn't, but I mostly take pies or snacks and drinks with me and eat while driving ... just hop out for a pee at a gate stop .. ;)

'course, it's not often we take the girlies with us, or when we do, they learn to cope, mostly!

;)

Looking forward to getting out with you all, I'm limited in what I have in the way of recovery. I'll be trying to build up what's needed, just not sure what. I don't have any strops/straps as yet as I'm not sure on the length that I need.

What time are we planning on meeting?

I don't think you need anything for the trip, other than the jate rings. I would wait until after the trip. I bought some straps but have since found out a good long rope would have been better. That's the point of this, so we can learn :D:D

Warrior dont use it untill that weekend as you will break it.

All I did we drive it to the coast, why does mine drop to bits? I've nearly replaced everything on it and the stuff from when I bought it 18 months ago is braking again.
