Newbie Kent (88 S3)

Hey all, I'm just here to share knowledge and advice (more take than give I'm afraid) as I start to rebuild my SWB to use after leaving her for a decade in the barn whilst I went of galavanting in MOD Wolf's.

She's not being "restored" everything I can upgrade or mod will be (to make her more useful, I'm not a boy racer there will be no vents, double exhausts etc don't worry) first things to go we're the lights and battery...so hello and I look forward to finding out what you've all done to make the poor old girls more tolerable

Hey, thanks for both your messages. I already love her, done the whole off roading since 14 on the AWDC events in her as standard, now it's time I showed her a bit of love and made her usable again, she just obtained grandma rights too (not that I'm entirely convinced in the logic of a 40 year old vehicle being MoT exempt) but I'm not going to complain

MOT exemptions don’t mean you can’t do it for your own peace of mind.

I'm gonna get her MoTd don't worry, I am glad she's tax exempt though. I just like to have a dig at HMG for their ridiculous rationale. To be fair though, a series three will never be pedestrian safe and it's unlikely to win any environment friendly awards either lol

Put a sign up “pedestrians please don’t step in front of me”. Oh that’s already done your driving on the road they walk on the path.
Loads of peeps delete the emission controls on here (agree or not) so you won’t be any worse.

I did run her on a litre bottle of cheap vodka from the cupboard when I was 16 =zero emissions. Unfortunately for now it's still more expensive than unleaded.
