Newbie, brake disc issues

Hi Everyone, restoring my disco 300 tdi, 1994. To take a break from cutting, grinding and welding, I thought I'd replace rear brake discs which are quite worn. I bought the discs over a year ago part no. FTC 461 now superceeded by FTC 1381. These should fit all discovery but seem to be too big for my caliper and hub.
The surface of the disc is rubbing on the caliper, the rear of the disc is rubbing somewhere on the hub carrier and I can't get the brake pads in. I don't see the point of buying new discs as they will probably be the same size, maybe I need new calipers? Or am I doing something stupid? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Danny

Just done a google image search and FTC461 looks all wrong mate. If you've bolted it down good it should all go together like clockwork, but one or two surfaces do have potential to interfere if not fitted together dead straight and tightened down evenly. Manufacturer isn't all that important, so you can pop in anywhere and get them from your reg.
There isn't far you can go wrong with this part, which fits any Disco, RR, or fender of that age, exception being if you've got vented discs without the right calipers.

ftc1381 is rear discovery discs none others where fitted,its possible you have 110 rear calipers are the pads retained by split pins or solid pins

Thanks for the replies, I did everything by the book, cleaned hub and bedded in okay, torqued correctly, new bearings etc... end float checked. Pads are held in by split pins. I can just about squeeze a pad in on one side but the
width is actually smaller on the other side so the disc is not centred in the calliper. Thanks

forgot to say, I dismantled the hub and disc and re-positioned it but still fouling

Presume caliper is fitted correctly, mating surfaces clean etc.
I would pop in at your local parts counter and pick up a pair of FTC1381 for around 20 quid. If you explain the situation, they should take them back without questions if it turns out you have funky calipers, although you'll want to get the right ones rather than try to match them.

Sorted! Got to come clean, I was doing something stupid, I had the rear guard in the wrong position which put the caliper at an angle. Thanks for the advice everyone, it made me stop and go over
everything till it made sense. One piston has seized and now I know it's all standard I may as well change the calipers. Thanks all.
