newbi got td 4 starting probs

hi to all im newbi kev B ive got a td4 had it about 3 yrs but just recent its bin a bitch starting all im getting is a clicking noise fitted brand new starter today battry fine but still clicking any 1 of you guys got an answer for it thx fellers

sory m8 but cant find my way around yet tried posting threads but dont look like they gone thruogh yet im a bit thick wen it comes to computers im still using smoke signals for communication and an abacus for counting

regarding bad starting,you did check the starter you purchased was ok.

Check also starting ring for wear

Kev, my garage found I had a 'cell' going down in the Unipart "Calcium" battery (the name on the battery) which meant overnight in these cold days, the juice in the battery wasn't enough to do the business on 1st start of the day.... just clicking and flashing warning lights only!

The battery was already on the car when I purchased it, and as they don't last forever, I suppose it's a good a route to follow as any.

Anyway, new battery is g'teed for 3 years, so I hope that's solved the problem.

We'll see, tomorrow morning, I'm sure!
