I get this sometimes with the 1st start-up of the day - dash lights flicker, along with a clicking sound. If I turn it back to 'ignition off' position, put my foot on the clutch to disconnect the load of the gearbox from the engine, and count to ten, turn it again, and bingo she'll fire up... I have no idea why, and in the past I've resorted to a supplementary battery powerpack, which doesn't always make her start up then.
If I discover what it is, I'll get back to you
(I did think because it's only the 1st fire-up of the day, if it's something to do with the immobiliser not de-activating efficiently...?)
