New Tyres

The time has come to retread the TD4, and am a little confused as to which tyres are most suitable. I'm looking at trying Hankook's for my budget - could get Pirelli but I've never been keen from past experiences.

Now, to some this may be a stupid question, but is there a difference between standard passenger tyres and those specific for a 4 x 4??? Apart from the standard tyres being considerably cheaper???

I have a Sport, so trying to retread the 18" rims is never cheap.

4x4 tyres are often an m&s tyre, if you just go for normal tyres and we end up with a bad winter you'll likely end up stuck

Think I'll just go for standard passenger tyres. Don't go off road and we ain't seen a snowflake for at least the last 4 years in these parts!!
