Just wanted to post how happy i am with these tyres...
i had some 265/75/16s mounted on a set of satin black Zu Alloys. Not cheap, but i'm happy.
I used them to replace the standard General Grabber TRs and the Boost alloys. I had to wait till i have covered almost 30k miles until i could afford them after buying my 90 new.
When driving the grip is just SO much better- before i got them everyone said "change those crap grabbers" etc i always wanted to, just couldn't afford it. i have to say everyone was wrong. The grabbers are far worse than they said! If anyone is reading this i would recommend any change (to anything!) away.
Great off road, yet an 'all terrain' tyre and in a few weeks i havent noticed any major mpg penalty. i like the hum as i drive too!
My 90 no longer scares me when cornering on road, i just cant believe how **** they were, and to an extent i was even blaming the vehicle... i was wrong. faith restored! :D

Just curious, how much did they cost?
Im buying a new defender in the new year and quite fancy them myself.........30k miles could be a 4yr wait for me!!

i got a set of 5, on zu alloys. Fitted, and balanced with beads, at Devon4x4 for just over 1400....
ouch! Bit gutted as i got a quote earlier in the year (before the credit crunch struck zu?) and i could have saved over 300quid... oh well it could have gone the other way

They look lovely (well i think so...- picturesto follow one day when it stops raining) and well worth it. But not quite sure about the balancing beads- sometimes smooth ride, but at other times get a bit of a wobble, mainly at speeds over 50mph. of course the trade off is i dont have lead weights attached to the rims.

Just found this...

kind of explains why there is a wobble at first as speed builds up i guess
