Anyone see the new TG review of the brand new RR the other day? They took it round a track in Wales. Covered a rocky river bed with the car in rock-crawler mode. It’s a far cry from my old p38.

If i didn't have the repair bills id drive it like that as well:oops:, But the way Quality is going with range rover stuff nowadays ID love to see it in 10 years ,,,Theres a lot of videos on a rufford water crossing...(on youtube ) ,and its embarrassing how much new 4x4 stuff gets Killed ,Ok there not all driven right but come on:D ,topgear should have tested it there ,,Have a look its hilarious :D:D.

Also see the new models are fitted with terrain response 2 , where in auto mode u take ur feet off all the pedals , set the speed on ur steering wheel cruise control buttons then it will automatically select the best terrain settings for u

Bet it plays up more than a P38 when the electrics do get wet tho ,in that video they done there is 2 parts of that pond they went through that was the shallow one the other one is twice as deep and full of silt, I found that out myself

My FL2 TR works like that.
You can set HDC independently of TR, and go down the hill with feet off the pedals, the decent speed being controlled by the CC up or down buttons.

hi mate

Must confess didn’t realise at first I could also do that on the D3 , saw a video some where regarding that setting

Seems the newer models are taking away the fun of learning how to properly drive off road by knowing what’s going on in different conditions etc and what skills are required to drive off road

think some of their first thought processes are to fit bigger tyres, lol
