New to site and restoration of 90

Hi like minded community! I’ve used google and kept seeing your forum popping up, very helpful so decided to join. Need a wee bit of help, I’ve found a Lucas part behind my instrument panel, behind speedo, number on it is 37800A 4886 but can’t find reference to it anywhere! Looks like a rectifier but it’s unplugged, five wires. Would anyone be able to let me know what it’s for?

Welcome aboard - maybe add a picture of the 90 you are restoring as we like pictures. Then once everyone has said hello transfer your question to the Defender thread where a clever sort will tell exactly what you are facing.
