Got my 1st LR, a 2000 Disco V8 Auto GS, with air suspension about 2 months ago. Plumped for the V8 mainly as it was so much cheaper than the TD5 and it was a low mileage car, equivalent TD5's where about 70% more expensive, oh and it does make a really nice sound :)...this weekend have fixed a broken sunroof drain outlet after following threads on Landyzone so thanks to everyone for that...reckon I'm getting about 22mpg with the familt on board and on a recent caravan tugging trip got about 19mpg...not brilliant but to be honest I'm really happy with that, i was expecting worse....next job is to find and fit some side steps...any recommendations on which ones are good??

sidesteps will be the 1st thing to be ripped of when you go offroadin(assuming you take it offroad)

Don't bother with the sidesteps. Get yourself in the Herts Laners thread and come out laning sometime.

No offroading for foreseeable future, wouldn't mind giving it a go though..I have a son with numerous medical complications and overseas holidays are not an option for us for a few years so we opted for a caravan to make the most our the UK and the Disco "Big Boy" as my other son calls it, is sadly just to tug that about...maybe when he's able to travel I can think about offroading..my wife loves it already, reckons she's invincible !
