New to landys. Need some advice please

Hi all. Wanted a landy forever and have been offered one by a mate but could do with some advice on what sort of value it is worth and what to check for altogether on it before buying it.

It is a 200 TDi defender 90 on a B reg. I know it has had the back axle changed and had disc brakes all round. It has had powered steering fitted and lots of other bits.

It has recently been painted black but I seen it before it was painted and it was a nice clean truck. It appears to have never had no welding done underneath and it looks very clean and does not look like it needs work doing to it anytime soon.

Can anyone please tell me what sort of price I should be looking at paying for this truck. I will attach a picture to my next post so you can see it, and also what I should check on it altogether??

So is it a Landy your buying, or a Truck:confused::confused::confused: Apart from that little matter what your mate wants for it and what it is actually worth are liable to be two VERY different things. Have you had a look on flea-bay and autotrader etc to see what price similar motors are fetching? ;););)
 
It is definately a B reg but had lots of work done. I have no clue with land rovers so why would you say that it is not?? It is definatley a 200 tdi as well.

Hi mate. I have had a look on ebay at the prices on there but can not seem to find many that look anything like this one. The ones I have found that are about the same price as this one seem to be quite ****e and need work doing to them.

Air intake as in the snorkel?? Almost positive that he said it was a 200 but maybe I am wrong and you know a lot more than I do so I will take back my original statement then and it is now a 300. Are they better or worse??

it has 300 windscreen hinges, wings, the snorkel is on the drivers side ......do you have a pic of the inside an rear quarter an al tell you exactly wot it is.. them rear window also look like 300 sliding windows
 
Dont have no more pics but what exactly are you looking for becuase I have had a good look at it and may be able to answer your queation??
