Well i was planning on removing the tints and selling the alloys on ebay cause i figured some X5 owner would buy them and transforming the car into something i can use on dirt tracks and trying off roading because its something iv never done.

mate, dont listen to storm99 - from what i can gather he's just some little prick sitting behind a computer that likes to think he's clever, bitching about every post a newbie makes on here.

He, or maybe he's a she (who knows?) really helps makes this forum a pile ****.

Welcome to the forum, good man for getting shot of the wheels for proper ones and just ignore the ****s, there are plenty of sound people on here willing to give good advice.

Well I think it looks very nice.

You should be able to pick up a nice set of 18s or 16s on ebag for not very much - you'd probably even turn a profit selling the existing ones. Apparently 16s are better for off road, but I prefer the look of the 18s which is what I've got on mine. Tyres are important for offroading. I've got General Grabber AT2s on mine and they've been great for the offroading I've done (not got stuck yet) and are good on the road too.

I assume you've done all the usual checks before you take possession of it? If you're new to Rangeys then have a look through some of the previous posts on what to check for - some of the common faults can be very expensive to fix. Here's a good place to start Range Rover P38/4.0/4.6 Common Problems and Fixes

All the best. Ignore the insults - it's a bit like that on here, I'm afraid!

Nice job fella. A nice set of standard Hurricane alloys and junk the exhaust and you'll have a nice motor. Welcome.
