Todays job replace rear prop on the D3 112k on the clock, as I had noticed clonks on power/on/off situations.
Check the prop revealed both cvs had rotational play, the centre bearing rubber had split half way around and once the prop was off the rear u/j had serious notchiness in both planes.
Not hard but the rear u/j bolts bloody hell talk about tight and both ends are held on with them stupid E torx bolts, I even bought some spanners to do the job.
Quick test drive reveals it is much smoother and seems to have less driveline slack.

also noticed some slack when lifting my foot off then back on again

saw reports regarding a software update in the gearbox, but only suppose to last 500x miles

have checked under mine through every bush etc and can't see anything

also when pulling on my drive i felt like a knock that went from the left to the right hand side , wonder if maybe the anti roll bar bushes could be worn

but alas couldn't find or see anything at fault

maybe over time it will show itself

glad u got it all sorted out

am learning with the D3 that you've got to go through them and make sure in keeping on top of any issues

mot is due next month , fingers crossed will be ok
