The replacement lift pump seems to have helped a little. Gently cruising to work at 70 on the motorway today. Even so its still notably down on power. Seems to idle a bit better though.

Need to check the sedimentor is clear. I dont want to bypass it as i like to have the best protection it can have :)

Put the 33 x 12.50 m/ts back on it after i got stuck in the mud with the 235 85's AT's it was on before. With the 30mm wheel spacers it looks pretty chunky! But weirdly... the rear wheels dont sit equally. The R/h sticks out by 3" the left hand by 1"....

It has got different trailing arms (one looks to have been replaced) so I wonder if the lengths are slightly out? Ill get a set of cranked heavy duty ones as a set.

Oh I also managed to run out of diesel 200 yards from my house on sat night after picking up the trailer. Had to use the L200 to drag it up the lane. The mitsy REALLY struggled to pull a loaded up 110csw and sankey on sheet ice. Had to lock the centre and rear diffs and even then it was spinning its wheels!

went to open the sunroof on my way home and got showered with broken safety glass. bloody thing has completely shattered somehow!

Didn't like passing 200k miles!

Strange that the sunroof broke, you wouldn't think there would be much pressure on it

its weird, the previous owner has stuck a great piece of foam across it which im thinking could have got water in it and froze then thats cracked the sunroof.

damn

I've heard of rear door glass shattering inexplicably but not sunroofs, your explanation sounds plausible though. I presume new glass pieces are available, or you could just do away with it. The sunroof on my 110 didn't leak but it used to be a source of condensation which would drop on the seats.

Mine passed 200,000 miles in May, on the Dumfries to Kilmarnock road :D

I looked for a replacement glass last night but was struggling.

I wanted rid of the sunroof as i have an outlander roof console to install, but i didnt want to do it RIGHT NOW

today i replaced the rear door with a csw one and insulated the battery tray with eerr... insulation?

Also cut down the seat box covers (thanks plasma!) as the smart car seat installation preventing fitting them. Now in and notably quiter and warmer!

well the sunroof is now replaced with a piece of aluminium - today i finally got around to installing the last few rivits. Its much better now and doesnt leak at all! bonus! even when the sunroof was there it used to let loads of water in.

Also sorted the ancillary wiring out today with an additional fuse box with 3 common bus bars which made wiring so much easier.

Wired in :-

The 7" front lcd screen - for the reversing camera and for replaying video footage when doing aerial photography
Reversing camera on a switch so i can use it as a rear view mirror if i have a big load in the back :)
Rear led worklights
additional 12v sockets on the dash (it seems you have to have loads of these nowadays to power all the crap that the kids have)

well i managed to get a complete sunroof from down in devon and it arrived without being broken! Huzzah!

Also ordered a set of pushrods (not sure if any will be bent but thought i might as well) to complement the timing kit. Need to get this sorted as it runs like a bag of spanners at the minute.

Too damn cold though!

well i fitted the new sunroof today - amazeballs that it doesnt leak!

anyway also found the culprit of my rough running and lack of power - the hose between the wastegate actuator and the injection pump had a hole in it!

DOH!!!

anyway replaced and now back to smooth running! :)

Just read through the thread again and wondered if you got rid of booming noise ( oct ish). Just though it might be the roof rack. I made one similar to yours from box steel and i got the same booming noise after it was fitted.

The booming noise is related to the engine somehow, you can sit there parked up, rev it a bit and it booms throughout the car. Its better after today as the engines alot smoother!
