New owner with a part name query.

Hello,

Just took ownership of a 1999 Discovery 2 TD5. It came with a years MOT, but a few advisories on it. Most I can fix myself, but one of the things the tester wrote has baffled me, in all my years of motoring I have never heard the part name or have any idea what it is.

This is what he wrote.

"Front nearside fitch panel corroded"

Can anyone help me please?

I'd ask your tester what he means!

Been a disco I'd say inner wing or footwell or side wall behind the plastic panel in the footwell.

quick google says it's the inner wing or wheel arch.

I'll get my welding man to look at it at the same time he does the chassis near the towbar mount.
