Hi all. My name is Jet and I live in Bucks.

I don't own a land rover, but I am looking to buy one for greenlaning and off-roading. I have a budget of around £1000 so any advice and suggestions on what to look for would be great. Thanks.

is it purely for offroad use?

At that budget a 300tdi Disco would probably be the way to go.

I would say mainly off-road use. Not bothered about comfort or anything like that. Something cheap to run, easy to fix and fun to drive offroad.

if ya wanting to have a test on it be carefull not to buysomeone elses offroad toy
my dad bought one a few years ago without letting me have a look at it and was told it had only been greenlaning once or twice however when i got to have a look at it it looked like it had spent most of its life in the north sea then dreaded test time came around and a 600 quid welding bill soon followed had he spent that extra 600 in the first place he would have got a much better car for his money but it goes to show even old folks live and learn
