Anyway when i got it there was a noisy Ford 2.5 DI fitted. I stopped using it about 10 years ago after the gearbox failed, then happened across someone breaking a D1. So i bought engine/box and then had a look under the RRC!
Progress so far - engine & box all fitted etc, all wired in and working. 90% welding done inc box section sills,plenty of patches inner wings/footwells/rear arches luckily its an ali floor in this one so not too bad in the back. Apart from that I just need to recommission brakes/steering ball joints and a few other fiddly bits.
