New member with TD5

Hi all, just wanted something a little larger than my renaultsport clio for trips away, fishing, fitting the kids in etc although i will need it to get to work in it. I bought a 2001 51 TD5 ES off a friend of mine, the headgasket has just been done with a head refurb at the same time, new oil cooler and timing chain tensioners replaced so im hoping it will be fairly reliable, just worried about the fuel costs as im guessing the 44mpg i average at the minute will be a distant memory : (

TD5 MPG is between 20-30 ish, depending on how you drive e.t.c but you can get it chipped to increase this a little.

If a chip would improve its mpg without causing other issues id be interested in that
