Hi, I live in Rushden northants and I have just bought a 2003 l322 3litre Td6. It had been stood a while with suspension problems(according to previous owner). To cut a long story short, he spent bucketloads and seemingly sorted the said problems other than he said "it has a mole in the ECU but if it plays up switch it off and its fine when you switch back on". The final straw for said previous owner was when he let the drivers window down and it wouldnt go back up.
This is where I come in. I bought it . Sorted window problem by cutting two feed wires to switch rejoin them opposite way ,press down button ,up comes window. Obviously switch defective but least its up not down for now.Took it for mot , on the way it came up with ABS light, HDC inactive and suspension inactive. Left it with garage to do Mot. It needed handbrake adjustment and Failed on ABS light but as they drove it out it started locking up. According to them they plugged it in and it said abs fault N/S/F. I went over , drove it and it was really weird. Felt like it was falling over its front wheelsand making clicking noise is the only way I can describe it. Then aforementioned lights came on and then drove fine. Lights went out again, garage had no reason not to pass it. Mot duly got!
On way home drove lovely, lights came back on and now refuse to go out.
Car sits lovely and level so think suspension is fine but abs is the problem and HDC is obviously tied into ABS problem. but local landy man is shut until New Year so cant plug it in to diagnostics. Any thoughts/suggestions greatly received or further questions. Thanks all. Stu.

Welcome Aboard :)

Best advice I can give you is to get your own diagnostics - your own time is probably cheaper than any garage worth a light ;).
