new member....new year....new defender!

hi everyone. after having browsed this great forum for the past few months, i thought it was only right that I join now that i've finally got myself my new toy im based just north of glasgow.
took my time and settled on a 2004 TD5 county. had her almost a week now, and im as pleased as punch. heres a wee picture of me up the hills yesterday.

my mate got me into defenders a few years ago, he has an M reg 300tdi and ive been driving about in that a few times. being very into the great outdoors and fishing (i have a small 3 man cabin cruiser) there really was only one choice when it came to getting a new set of wheels
ran out of diesel on monday:doh: as i was trying to run the tank down a bit before seeing how far id get on a full tank:laugh: and parked on a hill which didnt help. all good now though.
have had the usual 'whit ye drivin a farmers motor for' from my workmates...............if only they knew
