New member living in Portugal

Hello all, This is our 4th Defender and because of the horrendous prices in Portugal this time we've gone for a pick up but I can't say I like it much yet. Previously we've had 110 station wagons and I feel very strange with no room behind the front seat. In the past we've used our landies for sleeping in and on and the idea is to make some sort of camping arrangement in the back of this one so I'll be looking on this forum for ideas.

The first, and best, one we ever had we drove to Africa and her windows survived axes smashed at them by angry natives. Sadly we wrote her off in Kenya when the "road" suddenly changed into a giant hole, broke her axle, frame, engine out of bonnet etc etc. Amazingly, we lived to tell the tale.

Anyway, that's all for now. I have a problem which I hope someone can advise me on but I'll put that in another post.

Thanks for the welcomes and the waving flags. Just spoke to my mum and the weather is sunny there too. No snow here tho, shame really, snow's better than rain and we've had A LOT.
