New Land Rover ?

Hi all - first post from me.

Many moons ago I used to have a 90 CSW 2.5 diesel, which was great fun to drive, and I had endless fun in local lanes and off road courses.

Sadly it had to go when times were hard.

I am thinking at the end of the year I might be looking for another, as I miss it ! Really I like Defenders - but would need the loadspace of a 110.

I dont know anything about the current crop of Land Rovers and engines - not after anything new - older is fine, but anything that improves upon my last ones engine would be good !

No Range Rover or Freelander though.

What should I be looking for engine wise ? - I think Diesel is my preferred option, but I know nothing about the good and bad points of any of the Tdi units, agewise I reckon it would have to be Tdi 200 onwards.

Which engine is best 200 ? 300 ? good or bad points for each ?

same engine near enough....300 had a bit more electrickery pokery on it

200 TDI was the best engine ever fitted to a Landy.
300 is almost (but not quite) as good.

cant really go wrong with either.TD5 are godd but lots of sparky bits that aint great with water.Puma injun, erm well.....
