Finally got around to having someone look at the problem I've been having selecting reverse gear ( 5 or six attempts before it allows you to go backwards).
Had a new clutch 3000 miles ago , linkage etc has been checked and the general consensus is that the gearbox needs replaced.
LR want £1k for a box . local specialist will supply a second hand box and guarantee it for a year. Been quoted £1k for Box, labour and slave.
Sound reasonable?
