New Door Handle Fitting Problems

Hi, I decided to replace my door locks on my 300 Tdi as the old barrels had seen better days. The N/S was fine but doing the O/S I decided to replace the entire handle as the components were very corroded at the back of it.

Anyway, I am struggling getting the 2 rods inside the door skin (lock and opening) back in their holes with those fiddly little retaining clips and I wondered whether anyone had any tips please?

I did one recently.. All I can say is persevere.. its a fiddly job more so for you as my hands/fingers are probably smaller than yours.. could you get a lady friend to have a go for you?

On the N/S door you use your right hand, and on the O/S use your left.
