Hi folks,

Goin to fit a new clutch (Valeo, not ****part) in my TD5 Disco. Doin it in my drive with two trolley jacks and makin up a bracket to bolt to bottom of main box. This, hopefully, should keep everything from twisting when free. Fingers crossed flywheel is ok. Anyone got any input/suggestions before i start???

Get a length of M10 threaded bar and cut 3 5" lengths of it and fit them to the bottom 3 holes in the bellhousing. This lets you slide the box on and off easier and lines up the shaft when replacing.

Nice one mate. Anything to make this job easier is much appreciated. Can't say i am looking forward to it!!

Put a shout out and ask if anyone is local and willing to give you a hand for some beer tokens
got a mechanic mate to help me, he just don't no that he is helpin me yet. On an other matter, what do you get mpg with your lpg conversion Disco? Always fancied a V8 but not the ££££ gettin burned up?

Just lull him into a false sense of security and then drop the bombshell on him...
With regards to mpg....i get equivilent 27mpg round the doors/round town and 34 on a run...thats driving gently, with ya hoof well planted it gets worse alot worse. I'm lucky i suppose, not really bothered about the mpg as i have had my 300 series for 6 years and the mpg out of the v8 not much worse than that.Have kept the Disco 1 to restore to her former glory.Thank the lord im good with a welder.

On a par with my TD5, but thought it would have been a bit better. Would be worth it though if just for the sound of it alone.
