Hi all new to the forum and new owner of a range rover. Im a big ford fan and come from a ford background messing with cosworths, rst, rs etc but the birth of my first daughter has pursuaded me to upgrade to a bigger more convinient car. Sold my rst and blob eye scoob as sunday cars are no longer needed. Decided on a p38 dse. The exterior was immaculate had a recent spray job in original colour and has recently had new air suspension fitted costing a fair bit, new diff new gearbox conversion to manual basically mint for a bargain price due to the engine not being very well behaved. So ripped it out and gave it a complete rebuild from top to bottom everything replaced pretty much bar block. She be like brand new! Wasnt to keen on the green and to protect the paint work ive wrapped in matt white.
Now I intend on upgrading the front to the l322 and the back. Looks good already but prefer the l322 front end and boughtvall the bits for 300 ! Bargain. It shall be done well as im doinh it !!! No im not doing the conversion to pretend I have lots of money and pretend its a l322 as I could buy one anyway, more because its fun and keeps me out the hoise dealing with nappy changing and bottle feeding... and ive seen a few which look quite good if done properly. Any info on the conversion would be much appreciated such as brackets needed as I can make them at work prior carrying the job out at home, wiring diagrams etc. Please dont spam up with insults each to there own and all that crap... ill be taking pics step by step to help out any body who may want to do this in the future and hoping to have done this weekend .

Parts I have are l322 vogue bumper 2005
L322 vogue lights and indicators
Rr sport grill 2006
Rr sport wing vents
Boot conversion plate and adaptable rear lights with vogue spoiler

Alloys have also been powder coated gloss black as have bump strips howerver gonna repaint in matt white for a more modern look. Windows tinted and aero window wind gaurds have been installed

Wrapped to protect paint??

but you'll have to cut everything to get the L322 parts to fit

Good luck - but will look ****!

Forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by it being wrapped in white? Basically tough shrink wrap?

Vinyl wrapping, an alternative to painting now days, its good but lasts about 5 years before it starts to fade.

You sound like you know what ytour doing, be prepared to keep fixing it all as it is a P38, possibly the least reliable land rover ever built...

oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

wrapped in white plastic, with black wheels and now converting the front to an L322?

hopr you have planned for more than a weekend to do the job. you might just get the lights fitted in that time and have them wired without warnings on the dash. be prepared for a lot of cutting as you cant buy conversion bkts to do the job. its cut and fit and hope it lines up. then you have the bodywork to get to line up.

the P38 was never designed to be modified in this way, so be careful when you start cutting and welding.

all i can say is good luck!

do a good job and you are happy with it and it passes the MOT, then well done.
do a bad job and you are going to post pictures, it will be in the underpigeon section.
